Amaryllis Bud Opening.....And Amaryllis painting

Our amaryllis is going to be rose? Red?...not white for sure. I did this painting years ago. Actually it is the plate that I used to make a monotype. I liked it so much that I decided to keep the plate with the image on it and not wipe it for the next one. As typical for monotypes I worked very fast...not much time to lay down lines and colors because the paint dries quickly.

Just beautiful. Mine is not so far along. It's nice to see you too still have your tree up. We had planned to take ours down today, but opted to go to the Franklin park Conservatory instead. The orchids were beautiful and my husband liked one very similar to yours. I need to show him your blog later with the orchid picture then you will have four of the nine of us peeking in now and then! How is that lovely orchid doing? And your fuzzy baby fern?

Hi Charlie,
It sounds as if you had a lovely weekend. I never went to the Franklin park conservatory, alas.
The orchid is still magnificent, will post a picture tomorrow as well as a picture of the unfurling skinny and fuzzy baby...
