It amazes me how fast this bud is opening.....It looks like an "apple blossom" variety. My white amaryllis was too tall and yesterday morning I had to cut the stem and put it in a vase. Here is a picture of what happens to those luscious stems once in water. I observed the same thing last year. And finally I must not show you only the best of everything so here is a picture of a flower that really really should not be looking at the tabletop! Gerberas are finicky in my book. I do not usually buy any.
