Of Coconut and Incense Smoke

David and I gave Coconut a hair cut (sauf the head) last Saturday....she loved it......uh...uh...
Lit some incense and marvelled at the smoke languorously expanding  in front of us

The Garden

I have not really started to work in the garden but it is generous towards us in spite of my laziness and neglect.
The hummingbirds are happy because I do not neglect them: there is always plenty of fresh nectar for them (sugared water)

The visitors in our Pond

Monsieur and  Madame  Mallard Duck. I wanted a pic of them swimming but when they became aware of my presence they got out of the water. I nervously counted the fish: all answered "present".

Finally: The Trog

At last I was able to go back to the studio and finish the poor darling who had been waiting for me patiently sitting on his favorite mushroom, his hand tired from holding the flower he had intended for......a very very very shy Trogette.......who never showed up! Got attached to the little fellow as I worked on him. To be followed....
I regret having used a lousy sheet of  copier paper but at the same time it gave me here and there some interesting effects (mushroom stem for example). I won't do that again however.

I used pencil, watercolors, acrylics, Pitt pens and quickly darkened the edges with Distress Inks.

Yes, one more picture of me, sorry!
This one for 1st in my age group (do not know yet if any other females) with a time of 26:42, my best time ever for Zoo races. So as we were joking, I am getting older and....a bit faster, yeah!
It was rather chilly, gray, no fun, but good for running. Steve did very well even though he was 7 seconds slower that his goal finishing in 21:06.
We had a lot of fun because Davem came to cheer us and our Paris Marathon champ friend Marion got up extra early (and froze her bones) to join us too to be part of the cheering section. Sergio arrived too  and joined us at the finish. We all  (with Sun Reed and wife)went out to Milton's (famous famous Albuquerque diner, (just kidding) for a hearty breakfast/brunch. It was great fun.
