We have very much enjoyed meeting Marion's friend from France, Sylvie. Last Friday night we all went to the zoo to feast with the beast (we did not get to see many of them since we were busy feasting and night fell too soon) Sunday afternoon we had a tea party here, cake "maison", fine china and sterling. Marion and Sergio brought champagne and sorbet so that we could indulge in the discovery of a fine Chilean tradition, the "Roman Punch", i.e., sorbet drenched in champagne...how decadent, as Sergio was happy to remark....how delicious! I highly recommend it. The cake is an apple/berries/plums, brown sugar, cinnamon, lots-of-butter type cake...yummy
