My Computer is Sick.....
Got infected sometimes during the last 2 or 3 days.
So, Steve is taking it to hospital to be treated and I, well, I, will be left with all this time to go and work in my studio...just think....no excuses any more or rather no compelling force to go in the office stare at a screen full of promises, clicking madly...click...click...click...

Hand-Printed Paper
Quote for a Monday
Painting comes to reality through illusion. An illusion that allows us to make a leap of faith; to believe. To believe in a blue that can be the wing of a bug or a thought. It makes our invisible visible.

Gorgeous Papers
Well...paper towels (sopalin pour vous les French) . This is the way they look after I am trough using them to clean my little rollers. Then I let them dry and I pile them up in a corner of my studio but I thought that they deserved to be on stage for a change. Still thinking what I will do with them...like cut them up, sew them, glue them...collage them...make beads?

Cleaning My Studio.....Oddities on a Shelf
YEAH!....well, I am NOT dusting this shelf!
Among other treasures, on the right, you can see a pheasant leg that I cleaver-chopped and dried to grace my studio shelf. It was difficult to dry it in such a position that it would stand up on its own. Now, weeks later it is not really standing up any longer. By the way that is one leg of that poor pheasant given to us by my neighbour Allan and that I cooked last Fall (Pheasant Forestiere...). Delicious, remember?
Other interesting (to me for sure) vintage leather baby booties, bird head, dessicated gourd, variety of bones (no, not human:-), bird nest, old letters from printing press (can't remember the word...may-be "types"), an imprint of my treasured teeth, etc

A Peaceful Visit
Peaceful, however interested...everyday I put out fresh seeds (no hulls) for the birds and a bowl of water also....so they come.
I know some might question "you blog the picture of a sparrow?" so here is my answer:
1- In winter they need our help: food is rare and water too often unavailable in these parts and frozen in the early morning.
2- If I only see a single lowly sparrow I am blessed 3 times over because I can see, I can hear its sweet sound and I witness life.
So YES, at times I will put some pictures of lowly little things, (maybe soon an ant or an earthworm?) perhaps little, perhaps humble, perhaps not so colorful but to me, examples of what we call LIFE.
Life...so precious.

Tea and 2 Amaryllis
There is a debate about what the plural form of amaryllis is so I will pick the one that does not change!
Immediately above is Ambiance gracing our kitchen and above is Blossom Peacock on a window sill in our master bathroom. The latter one is beautifully scented.
And finally what I am drinking right now. I decided to drink more green tea and since I do not care for it in its natural state I have chosen the Earl Grey variety. Delicious!
And yes, dear, how extravagant, I chose the good old F and M...I recommand it, by the way!

Paris Trip
Here are some shots I took walking in Paris in my sister 's quartier and no, it is not the Seine but a canal the name of which I cannot recall right now.
In a comment by MPolette (my sister) I learn that it is the Bassin de la Villette.
