Next Pages: 4, 5, 6 and 7

The strange flowers/plants on page 5 continue on page 7 to become....whatever:) That was one of the purposes of the book but i quickly found out that this was quite difficult for me! The drawings are very much inspired by the book Art Forms in Nature by Ernst Haeckel (you can find it  at Amazon), if you don't already own it. What a genius this man! By the way when  Lynne will  see these little paintings she will no doubt chuckle when she will think of my recent comment on her blog and her response:)

hee!!!

but oh! these pages!!! they have my heart, francoise! the colors, the colors... i just purchased this book about a month ago, but i have not drawn/painted anything from it yet. yes, haeckel was a genius... have you seen the film about him? (i can't remember the name of it - i think it might have the word 'radiolarian' in it) it's fascinating.

gosh, thank you for this inspiration... i am truly inspired by these pages - however non-minimalist they may be. ; )

tristounet d'habitude ! ! !

Lynne, thank you! No, i did not even know there was a movie about Haeckel, will research it in the hope of watching it. i think that color is what moves me before anything else....well, let me think....

Henrietta, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment...i must tell you that i am ever so pleased to have found you. i look forward to reading/seeing more from you♥♥♥

Lisa, you are a true delight. You are dear to me for several reasons, your art being of course one of them, and you know the rest i believe.
