I need time for this one: not really my usual colors, definitely a challenge but I stuck with it and got it done. I will use a brush for the last time to glaze over lightly the lower right corner. I like it well in the end but had many fights along the way as some of you know:) I took inspiration for the face after a drawing by Boltraffio. 10" x 10" x 1.5" acrylics, collage using my own printed papers, commercial paper, fabric, illustration from antique botanical book.
While I am fine inside my house drinking tea and working in the studio or laughing with my sister in Paris over the telephone, I am thinking of all the people who are cold because they can't afford to heat their home efficiently, those who have to work, our homeless friends, etc... I am blessed.
Today I certainly have more than ever an attitude of gratitude.
....is sometimes better than artwork itself? I have used this piece of heavy paper (wallpaper sample) furiously and for a long time so I am thinking of putting down a fresh one for BW5 but I can't throw this one away!
