Sketch...End

So I finished coloring this one, the fun is over, now comes the real work but first I still have to do a few sketches of bird, elephant, perhaps rabbit or monkey.....

More Sketching

More preparations for my next piece and playing with some colors using Caran d'Ache Neocolor2 (wax crayons). At least I am getting an idea of where I want to go...

Mexican Lunch

Yesterday with hubby Steve, Stella and mentee Norma. We had a good time with fish tacos and horchata but I can't help wondering as to where I got the stomach nasty stuff....

The End....

Of messing with this one...on to fresh things...new territories...the unknown.....no, not exactly I do not feel very adventurous these days...but I'm done with this one.

A Frightful Sight....and The Consequences

I had to grab my camera for this shot so that you would see what I see each morning in the mirror before taming.... the straw bale....or the hay if you prefer... CocoNut was in a state of total disarray as a result and decided to lie in her litter...ordinary morning on Rio Grande Boulevard....One also could think that the sight of CCNut in her litter would suffice to produce my look?
Confusing story...

Some horses were brought to the pasture field right across from our front courtyard...so handsome....just a few yards away I think that I will bring them some of those organic apples tomorrow.

Work in the Studio With Some Encouragement...

Working on a background for a new little piece 8" x 8": paper collage, stamping, many layers of glazes, not happy with the bubbles...

Steve brings refreshment at the end of the day......a delicious margarita "maison"

About Fall leaves, Plaster Feet and More....Whatever!

First the beauty of Fall foliage... Then the paper which I use to protect my table when I lay the base color for my papers, attesting to the fact that, as promised, I have used other colors than previous pinkish/reddish ones...nice abstract effect, no?
And finally the soles of my feet as cast by our genius "Bone" for my orthotics. He gave them to me so that I can turn them into artsy/crafty things....lol

A Quote for Today

The quote I like today:

The first man to compare the cheeks of a young woman to a rose was obviously a poet; the first to repeat it was possibly an idiot. (Salvador Dali)

The rose is "Secret" from our garden

In the Studio...

I went online to review the G9 guide on self timer, etc.. It was king of fun, took 2 dozens pictures
Looking a little manic but Steve liked this one among 10 others...Was there about 20 minutes trying one of my new stencils....had many things to do today concerning our bank account (into which a certain Pablo went for a joy ride), getting my medical records (MRI) for my doctor's appointment Monday, etc....

Chili Time in New Mexico

These "ristras" are hanging in many places in stores or on the sides of roads...it is a beautiful sight...
