Qualified!

Steve was sweet to sneak a picture.
Got up at 5:45 this morning and ran to qualify for the state "50+ 2008 Games". I was not at my fastest for sure since I had been nursing my right ankle (Got a slight injury 2 weeks ago and have not run since). But I qualified and arrived 1st in my age group...........I was the only one! 28'12".
PS: I am wearing 2 pairs of tight ....kind of cool at this altitude early in the morn...

Siesta Time

Coming back from church this morning I had to stop and park the car: so cute!!!

Studio Work

Yeah...I know you are amazed that in such a short time I actually dragged my body to the studio and created a work of art....well....kind of...sort of...You be the judge :) I decorated one of my egg cartons...that's what I did and I am in a state of exhilaration.... I worked for some long 7 or 8 minutes and now I need to rest and have a good cuppa......TEA! Later more photos of what has been caught blooming in the garden.

More Spring in Our Garden...

I have to post these since I have not worked in the studio.....I must make myself go and start something....anything...even big splatters of paint on my table would be a nice start!
Yesterday I was incapable of doing anything after finding out that someone had stolen my credit card number to try to purchase computer equipment. I say "try" because in the end it did not work. The merchant became suspicious (after the fact, my credit card had already been processed but before shipping the goods) and contacted me.Yes, that "customer" also had my name, address and telephone number!
Very frustrating to say the least. There was 0 dollars and 0 cents in our account yesterday after this.
Of course I took right away the necessary steps to prevent further charges. Enough on this, it makes me sick. I console myself though in the fact that this is not so terrible a thing after all.

More Prettiness

About Running.....First Leaves....Flowery Skirt and Red Pants

Yes, I ran today 79 minutes, first time in almost 2 years. Of course I was a little tired when arriving home and thirsty and I could feel my left hip but I am so happy. This next weekend we have a 5K race.
The garden is starting to put on airs ....lovely tender scarlet leaves, and tender green too and tulips and tiny white sweet scented woodruff flowers making a carpet upon which my feet will not walk!
And the lily of the valley is showing tiny and cute greenish buds.
So I am feeling better and went uptown and could not resist a new summery flowery skirt....and a pair of red pants...yes...your eyes are fine...I wrote "red pants", so there!
I send you all many tender thoughts.

I Quit!

This painting, that is! This one does not photograph well at all and is much nicer in real.
I need to start something new.
Today we are cold here in New Mexico and the wind is blowing hard : I am happy at the thought that our house is built of adobe and not straw...or twigs!
The sun is shining and the skies are bright blue.....tomorrow will be gentler.

Yes, back in Albuquerque but only some part of me.
I will try and start posting regularly again but those of you who faithfully read me know how heavy my heart is lately because of my brother's illness.

Hello from Ohio!!!

I am still in Athens, Ohio tonight but Steve and I are coming back tomorrow in the early evening.
This has been a hard trip.
I apologize to all for the absence....of posting!
And I took many pictures but now my camera is acting up....again

An Abundance of Eggs....Spring

Ahhh, yes...the girls have the urge to lay! In the garden flowers have started here and there to show their sweet little heads... In the studio I am putting the finishing touches on my painting and then I will be busy packing for my trip to Ohio.
